Presenter Elio Levy was born in Cairo, Egypt into a Sephardic Jewish family. He immigrated to Israel at age 10 in 1957. He settled into an Ashkenazic kibbutz, Mayan Tzvi, and lived there for 15 years. After completing his military service in Airforce Intelligence, he moved to Charleston.  Elio had an extensive career in the Electronics and Computer IT industries, allowing him to live in many cities, before retiring in 2005.
