Generational Differences: Understanding and Bridging Divides
We are all influenced by the world around us — politics, technology, environment. How does the time of your birth impact the way you see the world? How might understanding other times make for more peaceful interactions with people of different generations? Join Dr. Betsy Stone and Rabbi Alexander to explore some external influences that might have helped to create the person you are today. We’ll then engage in intentional intergenerational dialogue about our approaches to work, family, Israel, congregational life and more.
As a sought-after, engaging speaker whose passion for wellness in the lives of families has brought her invitations to teach throughout North America and Europe, Betsy Stone, Ph.D., tackles some of the most difficult issues facing individuals, families, and organizations today: developing character, dealing with stress and anxiety, facing trauma and its aftermath. Her optimism, critical thinking, and hopeful approach help people find ways to change and grow. A retired psychologist, Dr. Stone is skilled at creating opportunities to tackle complex ideas. She understands how people change and what impedes growth and her interactive presentations are designed to both teach and present opportunities for change.
