Inspired by KKBE’s 275th anniversary and the 200th anniversary of Charleston’s path-breaking Reformed Society of Israelites, the Jewish Heritage Collection at the College of Charleston is pleased to host an “Evening in the Archives” on May 7th at 7PM. 

Dr. Max Daniel, public historian and coordinator of the JHC, will showcase the exhibit on display at Special Collections in Addlestone Library, which features dozens of artifacts from KKBE’s early years. Guests will also be invited to a hands-on exploration of a curated selection of archival materials representing nearly three centuries of the congregation’s history.

Refreshments and alcoholic beverages will be served. A jazz trio led by Robert Lewis, CofC Director of Jazz Studies, will be performing. 

Enter via Rivers Green, on the South side of the library, and not from Calhoun. Upon entering, folks should take the elevator or stairs all the way up.
