‘Turmoil, Destruction, Unpredictability: Deciphering Current Events in the Middle East’.
Albert Thibault’s 35 year career in the Foreign Service was spent in South Asia and the Middle East. Al was U.S Consul General in Lahore, Pakistan; Deputy Chief of Mission and served as U.S. Charge d’Affaires in Nepal, India, and Saudi Arabia. He was also Political Counselor at the U.S Embassy in Saudi Arabia. In Washington, he was Director of Middle East refugee affairs, traveling widely in the region. He studied Arabic in Jordan. He was Senior Adviser for South Asia at the U.S Mission to the U.N. in New York. He is a resident of Mt.Pleasant and is Program Chair of the World Affairs Council of Charleston.
The event will be live with a zoom option. Snacks will be served starting at 6:30PM with a 7:00PM presentation. There will be a $5 charge at the door for live attendance. The entire congregation is invited to attend!
